Last week we had the opportunity to participate in an interesting initiative of our peers at the Wix Lounge Space in Chelsea, New York. We spoke about one of our projects: Suissetainable lifestyle.

"Having a sustainable lifestyle it is possible to cause less impact on the environment, produce less pollution and also fewer emissions"
It was a pleasure to talk with them about the results of our research, principally about the existing relation between our health conservation and how having a sustainable lifestyle it is possible to cause less impact on the environment, produce less pollution and also fewer emissions, so the changes in our lifestyle help in some form to combat the climatic change.
Let's explain a little: If us humans are the most basic unit of consumption and production, the quality of our food (in some form our fuel) and the maintenance we give to our body, condition our general state of health. So if we consume the adequate quality of food and we practice enough exercise we can expect to be healthier persons. But what means healthy food: well, we discovered that the healthiest food is the most natural, locally produced and easy to consume. The less processed is food that can be consumed by us, the healthiest we will be.
The healthiest food is that most natural, locally produced and easy to consume (raw). The less processed is food that can be consumed by us, the healthiest we will be.
Combining the consumption of healthy food with regular practice of exercise will lead to less illness and fewer visits to the doctor and hospitalizations, reducing the impact on the environment and the emissions that the medical services produce. The medical sector is one of the most pollutive productive sectors in our society.
If we avoid the consumption of junk or industrialized food, also we will reduce the impact on the environment of the food industry, which is also other of the most pollutive of the economic system.
"With any decision of a simple meal and with any step we do to activate our body, we have already the possibility not just to improve our health but to contribute to the planet's health".
That simple idea gave us the opportunity to discover that sustainability is closer to us than we think. With any decision of the components of a simple meal, choosing natural and local produced food, and with any step we do to activate our body, we have already the possibility to improve our health and at the same time to contribute to the planet's health. Sounds simple right? And yes, it that's what it is.
So folks, let's be healthier and let's contribute to the health of our planet from today!
